ABOUT US

The German Shorthaired Pointer is indeed a rare find. Wrapped up in one package is a staunchly pointing bird dog, a keen-nosed trailer, a natural retriever, an intelligent family and companion dog. He was bred to hunt both fur and foul and is especially admired for his temperament and trainability. The typical Shorthair is outgoing, but not aggressive, eager to please and is a athlete with lots of natural exuberance.

Our diverse membership includes those involved in field trials, dog shows, obedience trials, tracking, breeding, therapy dogs and those who just love their dogs as soul mates and family companions.  We Welcome ALL pointing breeds to join the club, and we have many members that have Vizslas, Setters, Pointers, GWP, GSP, Brittanys, Weims and other hunting breeds.
